“I am a self confessed dog nut, dog behaviourist and canine coach, with a special interest in scent work for canine enrichment. For me dogs are everything and seeing them and their guardians happy and fullfilled brings me great joy”

I have specialist canine qualifications in:

  • Canine Behaviour Advanced Professional Accredited Diplomas (two advanced level 5 awards)
  • Search Dog Handler Accredited Diploma (advanced level 4)
  • Canine Coaching Accredited Diploma (advanced level 4)
  • Canine Anxiety Certificate
  • Canine Nutrition and Health Accredited Certificate
  • National Institute of Canine Ethics https://www.nicemembership.com/ Practicing Canine Behaviour Technician

I also have two dogs, a Labrador called Mati and rescue dog called Tana. Very different from each other in backgrounds, life experiences and behaviours.

Mati joined my family as a 7 week old puppy when I had young kids and he was the first dog myself and my wife had looked after. He has all the classic working Lab traits and on top of that is probably a bit spoilt and a prince!

Tana joined us 4 years ago from a shelter in Spain. I spotted her on Facebook and saw it was a kill shelter and the timing coincided with the right time for us to take on a second dog. Her background before that is unknown but we do know she spent 1 year living in an outside shelter in pretty basic conditions.

Two dogs from different backgrounds and even with his great start to life Mati has still had his behavioural issues and no surprise that Tana has also had a number of challenges that have needed time, patience and learning to improve on.

My point being that no matter the background, breed, age or situation all dogs at some point may well have behavioural challenges. It is actually very common and nearly always can be worked on to improve & manage.

“I love working with all dogs and believe that with good observation, a clear plan of action and consistency I can help with your behavioural and training needs.”

‘I’ve loved dogs since our first pup entered my life and I have a real passion for their mental and physical enrichment. Helping our clients have happy and fulfilled dogs is my joy’

I believe that every dog needs a combination of physical activity, mental stimulation and dog to dog socialisation to be fulfilled. I research and study  ways to combine physical and mental activity and have a particular interest in using agility training methods and sensory activities to achieve this.

I am also a well experienced fitness expert for humans so will always be happy to help our clients who want to enjoy a run out with their dogs 🙂
